An Exalted Saviour – Easter Sunday

An Exalted Saviour – Philippians chapter 2, verses 9 to 11

9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

An Exalted Saviour – Easter Sunday

  • What’s in a name? Everything when the name is Jesus!
  • A name above all others. Verse 9 – God has exalted, elevated, lifted Jesus up. There is no one greater than He.
  • A name everyone will bow down to one day. Verse 10
  • A name everyone will call “Lord”. Verse 11 – whether willingly or unwillingly. Wisdom calls upon Him now.
