Best to listen to Jesus Himself – “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
Key Truth #1
No one knows when. Many don’t like not knowing, but Jesus says “Don’t waste your time.”
36 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
Key Truth #2
42 ‘Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
What does “keep watch” mean?
- Being wisely faithful, more concerned to do the Master’s assigned work than to worry about when.
- Being wisely prepared, embracing forgiveness and peace with God because of Jesus. Don’t look like you are ready when deep down you are not.
Keep Watch! Be Ready!
Be wise, not wicked, be wise, not foolish.
