Church Membership – A Mark of a Health Church – Acts 2:37-46, Matthew 16:16-20

We live in a day of negative views about any institution. God wants the church to be different, not an institution but His world-wide family. And more even than that – a local family, loving and caring, belonging together.

1. Relationship – “they continued to meet together” Acts 2:46
2. Authority – The gentle but firm discipline of a truly loving family. “¹⁵ ‘If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.” Matthew 18:15. “¹⁸ ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18
