Come to Me.

Come to Me.

Come to Me.

Matthew’s Gospel, chapter 11, verses 25-30.

Come to me, all you who are tired and are carrying heavy loads. I will give you rest. Become my servants and learn from me. I am gentle and free of pride. You will find rest for your souls. Serving me is easy, and my load is light.

Matthew 11:28-30

Not all of Jesus’ words were comfortable. But these ones are comfortable. Jesus spoke these for all people who will listen.

The Greatest Person: Matthew 11:25-27

Jesus reveals God to us. Only Jesus can. The greatest person you can meet, because He meets our greatest need.

The Greatest Invitation: Matthew 11:28

The invitation is from Jesus, the humble One. The recipients are “all”. Not just perfect people. Not to people who think they’ve arrived. He will take our heavy burden.

The Greatest Promise: Matthew 11:28-30

You will find rest. Renewal, refreshment, comfort: life forever more.
“I can’t get no satisfaction!” sang Mick Jagger. He was right. Nothing in this life will give it. Only Jesus.
