God is Self-Existent (He Always Was) – Acts chapter 17, verse 23 and 24
24 ‘The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
Acts 17:24-25
- Why should Christians pursue the knowledge of God?
- God’s self-existence defined.
- Because God is self-existent:
- As Lord, He owns all creation, verses (24-25)
- He is the source of life (verse 25)
- Eternal life is a reality (I John 5:11-12)
11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
