God is … Unchanging

God is … Unchanging

God is … Unchanging

Bible Reading – Psalm 102

Unchangeable

How could we trust a changeable, fickle God?

25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,

    and the heavens are the work of your hands.

26 They will perish, but you remain;

    they will all wear out like a garment.

Like clothing you will change them

    and they will be discarded.

27 But you remain the same,

    and your years will never end.

28 The children of your servants will live in your presence;

    their descendants will be established before you.’

Unchangeable in His Character

He never needs a “Plan B”.

‘I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.

Unchangeable in His Truth

Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.

Unchangeable in His Plans

“far before time, before creation’s dawn …”

he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfilment – to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

Pauls’ letter to the Ephesians, 1:9-10
Unchangeable in His Salvation

No new methods, no new truths!

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes:
