Great Expectations!
What were we expecting in 2020? We were all surprised! God was not surprised.
- What are our expectations of Jesus? verses 2-3. Even John the Baptist had second thoughts.
- Jesus encouragement to John the Baptist, verses 7-10. He encourages, comforts and protects all his servants.
- Jesus’ invitation to hear, verses 14-15. What we need to know has been made clear.
- Jesus confronts and warns, verses 16-19. The people thought John too severe and Jesus too tolerant.
Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says …
