Light in the Darkness: The Excellencies of God’s Love – Psalm 63
The true Christian is driven by adversity TO God
and not away from Him.
You, God, are my God,
Psalm 63:1
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.
Christians feel they have a right to turn to God at such times
On my bed I remember you;
Psalm 63:6-8
I think of you through the watches of the night.
7 Because you are my help,
I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8 I cling to you;
your right hand upholds me.
It is David’s great desire to feel and experience the presence of God
and it should be the desire and experience of every Christian as well.
But the king will rejoice in God;
Psalm 63:11
all who swear by God will glory in him,
while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
For the true Christian believer God’s loving-kindness is the most precious think in life
Because your love is better than life,

my lips will glorify you.
