Living a gospel-focused life: Romans chapter 12, verses 1 and 2
With eyes wide open to the mercies of God, I beg you, my brothers, as an act of intelligent worship, to give him your bodies, as a living sacrifice, consecrated to him and acceptable by him. Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity.

- I urge you:
“With eyes wide open to the mercies of God, I beg you, my brothers, as an act of intelligent worship, to give him your bodies, as a living sacrifice, consecrated to him and acceptable by him.” Not rules and regulations. That is not the motivation. God’s mercy is! - Do not:
“Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within”. To so so would be to profess to be a Christian, but not to possess the reality of it. Transformation is needed. How? By God changing our mind, our thinking. That’s why reading the Bible and praying are so vital. - Then you will:
“so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity.” Then you will know what is best!
