The Saviour

The Saviour

Jesus was born to save his people from their sins

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.’

Matthew 1:21
Jesus was born because God keeps His promises

All this took place to fulfil what the Lord had said through the prophet:

Matthew 1:22
Jesus was born so that God might draw near to us

‘The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel’ (which means ‘God with us’).

Matthew 1:23

“Jesus Christ does not save the worthy, but the unworthy.”

C.H. Spurgeon

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16
