The Sovereignty of God – Psalm 115 verse 3
Our God is in heaven;
Psalm 115:3
he does whatever pleases him.
In a world of change we must look to the Sovereignty of God.
He is King of kings and Lord of lords.
His authority is not constrained by time and space.
No space in which He is not sovereign.
I know that the Lord is great,
Psalm 135:5-6
that our Lord is greater than all gods.
6 The Lord does whatever pleases him,
in the heavens and on the earth,
in the seas and all their depths.
Before the foundation of the world all was planned.
God knows, decrees, the end from the beginning and everything in between.

to receive glory and honour and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.’
He considers and decrees the good of His creatures, even using evil for good.
The story of Joseph is a good example: Genesis chapter 37 to the end – the original “rags to riches” story. The best example is the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, Christ the Lord.
If God is sovereign over evil, is man therefore accountable for his actions?
Acts 2:23 says “Yes!”
23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.

Is He Safe?
